Erasmus+ Program (In the Field of Higher Education Erasmus+)
The grant supports provided in the field of higher education under the Lifelong Learning Program, which was conducted by the European Union Commission between 2007-2013 and ended as of 2014, will continue under the Erasmus+ Program between 2021-2027.
The Erasmus+ Program aims to offer more effective tools that promote cooperation between different sectors in line with the Europe 2020 Strategy objectives, addressing new needs in the fields of education, youth, and sports.
Specifically for the field of higher education, it aims to enhance quality in higher education and strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and the business world.
The target audience of Erasmus+ Erasmus activities, in the broadest sense, includes institutions and organizations involved in higher education, as well as the staff and students of these institutions. Applications can only be made by institutions and organizations, depending on the type of project, to our Presidency or to the Educational, Audiovisual and Cultural Executive Agency, which is the relevant unit of the EU Commission. Individual applications are not accepted.
Learning Mobility of Higher Education Students and Staff
With this activity under the Key Action 1 (KA1) of Individual Learning Mobility, it is aimed to develop the competencies of higher education students and staff and to offer them professional development opportunities abroad. In this context, the following activities are supported to increase the overseas education opportunities of individuals continuing their higher education, to equip them with the skills they need to transition from education to work life; and for higher education staff, to obtain practical work knowledge or enhance their pedagogical skills:
- Student Mobility: University students studying at a higher education institution abroad or doing an internship at a company or any institution/organization abroad
- Staff Mobility: Academic staff of higher education institutions or staff working in businesses giving lectures at a higher education institution abroad, or all academic and administrative staff of higher education institutions participating in a course/training abroad for their professional development (excluding conferences) or doing job shadowing/observation.
